Angela Hileman Blevins

Angela (Hileman) Blevins took the field 181 times in an IUP uniform, more than any other player in school history. 

A native of Ford City, Blevins played both right field and first base. She won various All-PSAC awards at both positions, including All-PSAC West first team honors in 1999-2001 in the outfield and second team honors at first base in 2002.

She was a Verizon Academic All-American 2001-02 and also a Mid-Atlantic All-Region second team selection in 2000 and 2001. Blevins ranks first all-time in school history in runs (133), at bats (623) and hits (219). 

Blevins graduated from IUP in 2002 with a degree in general 
science education. She earned her master’s in biology education from Western Governor’s University in 2013. Blevins is still involved in softball, serving as an assistant softball in addition to her duties as a biology teacher in Mountain City, Tenn. She and her husband, Kevin, have two children, Kaden (7) and Avery (3).
