Anthony Zambotti is one of the best pitchers in the history of the IUP baseball program. Upon his graduation in 2003, he ranked first or tied for first in four career statistical categories, while also ranking in the top six in three others.
IUP’s all-time strikeout king, his 332 K’s are also second in the history of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference. Zambotti owns school records with 20 complete games in 36 starts and 228 2/3 innings pitched.
A three-time All-PSAC West first team selection, he was the division’s Player of the Year as a senior and its Rookie of the Year in 2000, and was drafted in the 14th round of the 2003 Major League Baseball Draft by the Oakland Athletics.
A graduate of Indiana High School, Zambotti is currently the co-owner of Sky Satellite in Shelocta, Pennsylvania. He also currently serves as an assistant coach for the IUP baseball team.
Zambotti, who resides in Shelocta, is married Sara (Raschiatore) and has two children, son Attillio and daughter Aza.
