Jeff Brown was named to three AII-PSAC West teams and finished his career as the eighth-leading scorer in school history with 1,361 points to earn induction into the IUP Athletic Hall of Fame.

Brown came to IUP after graduating from Annapolis Senior High School in 1978 and immediately made his mark on the school record book. He is one of only four players to lead the team in scoring three times, averaging 14.8 points as a sophomore in 1979-80 and increasing that to 16.5 and finally to 18.4 his senior year. He scored a career-high 37 points against Dyke in 1981, a figure that has been topped just 13 times over the past 58 years.

In addition to his scoring exploits, Brown ranks seventh in the IUP record book in free throws made with 279, 10th with 541 field goals made and 19th with 239 steals.

Brown was named to the PSAC West first team as a senior in 1982 after meriting spots on the second team the previous two seasons. He was also on the PSAC all-tournament team three times, an NAIA All-District 18 selection in 1981 and a member of IUP's Christmas Tree all-tournament team in each of his four seasons.

Brown received his bachelor's degree from IUP in 1982 and is currently the managing director for the Fed Ex Corporation in Memphis, Tenn. He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and is a mentor for the Youth Villages in Memphis.
Brown and his wife, Shelly, are the parents of Monica (13).
