A 2001 graduate of IUP, Julie (Bober) Moore held multiple team and pool records during her swimming career. 

A 14-time NCAA All-American 
competing in the butterfly and individual medley, Moore became only the third 
women’s swimmer in school history to qualify for the NCAA Championships in each of her four years as an undergraduate. 

She was the 2000 PSAC champion in the 400 butterfly and was also a member of the first women’s team to defeat Clarion in the championship meet since women’s swimming became an official sport in the conference in 1976.

Moore is a former full-time assistant swimming coach at American University. She and her husband, Andrew, have two children, Lily (8) and Henry (4). They reside in Rogers, Ark.
