A four-year starter, Giacomin graduated as arguably the top pitcher in program history, as she was first or second in every single major career pitching statistic at IUP. With 62 wins and a 1.54 ERA, she helped IUP to a 105-67 mark with two appearances in the NCAA tournament, advancing to the PSAC tournament all four years.
She also wrapped up her career first at IUP with 96 career starts, 89 complete games, and 682.1 innings pitched, and second with 593 strikeouts and 20 shutouts.
A first team Mid-Atlantic All-Region selection in 2000, Giacomin was named All-PSAC West first team from 1997-1999 as well as earning second team honors in 2000.
A 2001 graduate of IUP, Giacomin is a registered dietician and certified diabetes educator at Novo Nordisk.
