A two-time team captain in 1965 and 1966, Neatrour played for a football squad that went 29-8-1 during his four seasons, while he played in two PSAC championship games.
Lettering all four years, he was an all-conference selection as a junior and senior while also earning all-state honors after the 1966 season. He was named the IUP Student-Athlete of the Year in both 1966 and 1967.
Neatrour earned a bachelor’s degree (1967) and master’s degree (1975) from IUP, while also holding another master’s degree from Duquesne (1980).
He’s a 1991 graduate of the U.S. Army War College and served for 30 years in the Army, retiring in 1998. He has also worked as a teacher, counselor and principal in the Greater Johnstown School District for 30 years.
Neatrour resides in Johnstown, PA with his wife Susan. They have two children, daughter Jennifer and son Paul.
