Scott Woods was the quarterback of the 1993 Division II national runner-up team. The two-time All-PSAC West selection is fifth all-time at IUP in passing yards and total offense. At the time of his graduation, Woods held the school record for both passing yards in a season (2,856) and total offense (2,856) in a season.  He finished his career with 6,133 passing yards and 47 touchdown passes.

In what could be considered the golden age for IUP football, Woods helped the team to a 33-3-1 (.905) record that included a PSAC West championship in each of his three years as a starter. The team scored a whopping 1,385 points and outscored opponents by 822 points. The IUP offense scored 50 or more points six times from 1991-93.

In 1994, Woods graduated from IUP with a degree in marketing. He went on to earn his master’s in banking from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 2001. Woods now resides in Cambridge, Ohio and has two daughters, Hannah (16) and Maggie (13).
