Terry Eisenhute was one of the famed members of IUP’s 1968 NAIA men’s golf championship team, which took home the title with a score of 1162, 30 strokes better than their closest competitor. At the time, that score was the second lowest recorded at an NAIA championship and, 46 years later, still stands as one of the top 20 tournament championship scores ever.

Eisenhute is one of an incredible four members of that team who were honored by being named NAIA All-Americans, along with fellow Hall of Famer Rick Hrip.

A successful golfer before and after his time at IUP, Eisenhute won the Western Pennsylvania Junior Championship in 1965 and the 72nd Western Pennsylvania Amateur Championship in 1972.

Eisenhute passed away in 2004 at the age of 56.
