Can you imagine a mild-mannered CPA having lived the life of an incredibly accomplished collegiate and semi-pro athlete? There’s no need to imagine it. Tia Kipp is living proof that it can be – and has been – done.
A four-year starter at center midfield of the IUP Women’s Soccer team, Kipp earned All-PSAC first-team honors and second-team honors two times each. Kipp was a scholar athlete from 1999 through 2002, and made NSCAA first team honors. Scoring double-digit goals and assists during two seasons, she also made the Verizon/ CoSIDA Academic All-District II second team in 2002. Kipp played one year of semi-pro soccer in 2006 with the Northampton Laurels.
The graduate of Quakertown (PA) High School earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from IUP in 2003. Kipp also is a certified public accountant and works as a controller at Cigars International. She lives in Emmaus, PA, with her children, Parker and Kyle.
