WEST CHESTER, Pa. — The Indiana University of Pennsylvania Crimson Hawks defeated the West Chester Golden Rams 2‑0 Saturday at Vonnie Gros Field, handing the fifth-ranked Golden Rams their second conference loss of the season.
Junior forward Jess Davidson scored both goals for IUP. Her first came at 36:50 of the third period on a penalty corner assisted by Sydney Schmouder. Davidson added her second at 45:55 with a chipped shot past the goalkeeper.
Crimson Hawks goalkeeper Celeste Pagliaroli recorded a shutout, stopping four shots in the win. IUP outshot West Chester 7‑7 overall, including 6‑4 on goal, and held a 2‑1 advantage in penalty corners.
West Chester, which entered the game 12‑4 overall and 6‑2 in conference play, was blanked for the first time in PSAC play. IUP improved to 8‑6 overall and 4‑4 in PSAC play.
