The Crimson Hawk volleyball team joined IUP student Ashley Contino, a resident of Indiana who has been fighting MS since she started high school.
Ashley played volleyball all four years in high school and has been organizing a teams to participate in the MS Walk in Greensburg the past five years, raising over $90,000 for MS research. Her team name is the Traveling Circus and members can be easily recognized by the orange shirts they wear during the walks.
The MS Walk is a rallying point to help raise critical funds that support cutting edge research, drive change through advocacy, facilitate professional education and provide programs and services to help people with MS move their lives forward.
The IUP volleyball program will be organizing an event at one of its fall matches to serve as a fundraiser for MS and to create awareness of the disease.
