Winners of the PSAC Western Division, the Crimson Hawks (10-0) bring top national rankings – No. 3 in Coaches' Poll, No. 1 in the Media Poll – into the program's seventh all-time conference championship game. IUP clinched the division title with a 42-26 win over Gannon back on Oct. 28 and followed that with a 36-10 victory at Mercyhurst last week to finish with a 7-0 divisional record.
The Crimson Hawks have defeated three nationally-ranked opponents this year that have combined for a 25-5 record in Ashland, California (Pa.), and Slippery Rock. The latter two games were each selected by the NCAA and ESPN3 as the Division II Showcase Game of the Week.
West Chester (8-2) clinched a spot in the conference championship with 27-24 win over Millersville last week on a last minute touchdown. The Golden Rams had one loss in their division (Bloomsburg, 20-19) and earned the tiebreaker with Shippensburg on a 37-27 win over the Raiders early in October.
The Golden Rams other loss came at Slippery Rock, 49-42 in September.
Phil Schoener will be calling plays while Emory Hunt will provide color commentary and Geoff Arnold will be on the sideline.
