THE GAME AT A GLANCE
Five-seed IUP women's basketball (30-3, 20-2 PSAC) will face top-seeded and No. 1 ranked Ashland (35-0, 20-0 GLIAC) in the national semifinals of the 2018 NCAA Division II Elite Eight. Tipoff at the Sanford Pentagon Wednesday night is set for 9:30 p.m. EST. The Crimson Hawks held on for a 74-71 win over four-seed Stonehill. Ashland boasts a Division II record 72-game win streak after its 91-73 quarterfinal win over Montana State-Billings.

>> IUP is making history with the program's first ever final four appearance
>> This is the program's second Elite Eight (1999, 2018); The then-Indians lost to Northern Kentucky 75-67 in the 1999 national quarterfinals in Pine Bluff, Ark.
>> IUP is 12-11 all-time in the NCAA tournament; This is the program's 12th overall appearance
>> This is the fourth straight NCAA tournament appearance under HC Tom McConnell, a program record; The Crimson Hawks made three straight appearances from 2007-09
