Sophomore women's soccer player Lexie Palluconi was named an IUP Athlete of the Week for the week ending, Sunday, Sept. 27. Palluconi earned her second career IUP Athlete of the Week award after scoring six points and helping the Crimson Hawks to a pair of wins over Lock Haven and Mansfield.
 
The forward scored a pair of goals in IUP’s 4-1 win at Lock Haven on Wednesday, leading off the scoring in the 22nd minute and scoring on a penalty kick in the 76th. She then played the role of distributor in the Crimson Hawks’ 2-1 overtime over Pitt-Johnstown at home on Saturday, assisting on both of IUP’s goals, including the game-winner to Kiersten Zerbe in the 96th minute.
 
It was the second time in her young collegiate career that Palluconi had scored six points over the course of two games. This year she leads IUP and is tied for third in the PSAC with 16 points and 2.00 points per game. She’s also tied for fifth in the league with six goals and 0.75 goals per game.
