Women's basketball senior Zhane Brooks has been named an IUP Athlete of the Week, for the week ending Sunday, Nov. 15. Brooks also earned her first career Athlete of the Week award after helping the Crimson Hawks to a season-opening 75-64 victory at Bowie State on Saturday. The forward just missed a double-double, scoring 14 points to go along with a team-high nine rebounds in 28 minutes of action.

Brooks finished 5-of-11 from the field and a perfect 4-of-4 from the free throw line. She also dished out a team-high four assists and added a block.

Brooks and the Crimson Hawks have three games ahead of them this week, hosting Mercyhurst on Wednesday, East Stroudsburg on Saturday, and West Chester on Sunday.
