Men's basketball guard Brandon Norfleet was named an IUP Athlete of the Week for the week ending on Sunday, Dec. 6. It's Norfleet's second straight IUP weekly award.
Norfleet averaged a team-best 24.7 points per game as he led the men’s team to a 2-1 mark last week. The senior guard matched his career-high of 26 points twice, hitting it in back-to-back wins at Gannon and Shippensburg. He also scored 22 points at Kutztown on Saturday.
Norfleet shot 55.8 percent from the floor during the week, connecting on 29-of-52 shots, including 8-of-15 from three-point range. He also made all eight of his free throw attempts, running his streak to 21 straight made free throws, dating back to Nov. 22 against West Chester.
Norfleet is ranks third in the PSAC with 20.9 points per game and leas the Crimson Hawks (6-4, 3-3) with 3.9 assists per contest.
