Senior distance runner Greg Beaudette has been named an IUP Athlete of the Week, which was announced by the IUP Sports Information Office on Monday, May 8.
Beaudette won his first career PSAC individual title on Thursday night, running the 10,000 meters in 31:38.66. Running his final lap in 1:02.9, he surged past leader Alexander Balla of Shippensburg in the final 400 meters to capture the win.
Beaudette also posted a third place finish in the 5000 meters, finishing with a time of 15:01.57. It's his second career IUP weekly award, winning his first career back in February of this year.
