Sophomore golfer Nate Guerrini has been named an IUP Athlete of the Week, which was announced by the sports information office on Monday, September 25.
Guerrini is coming off of his first career collegiate tournament victory, winning Clarion’s Hal Hansen Invitational last Tuesday. He finished the two-round tournament with an even-par 144, shooting a two-under 70 in the final round. That score was the best of any player at the tournament.
Guerrini was also named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Men’s Golfer of the Week, as he helped the Crimson Hawks finish second overall, one stroke behind team champion West Liberty. This is Guerrini’s first IUP Athlete of the Week honor.
