Senior middle blocker Gabby Egler has been named an IUP Athlete of the Week, which was announced by the sports information office on Monday, October 9.
Egler helped IUP women’s volleyball to a weekend split in Erie, leading the team with a .316 hitting percentage, 11 total blocks, and 3.56 points per set. The middle was second on the team with 26 kills in 57 total attacks, while posting one solo block, 11 block assists and 12 digs.
Egler had a season-high 14 kills in a five-set loss to Gannon on Friday night, adding five total blocks for 17.0 points. She followed that up with 12 kills and a .370 hitting percentage in Saturday afternoon’s four-set win over Mercyhurst.
