Senior forward Megan Smith has been named an IUP Athlete of the Week, which was announced by the sports information office on Monday, Jan. 15.
Smith helped the third-ranked IUP women's basketball team to three wins in three games last week, averaging 19.7 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. The Crimson Hawks picked up home wins over Slippery Rock and East Stroudsburg, and a big road win at 14th-ranked Edinboro.

Smith posted 22-point performances against Slippery Rock and Edinboro, sandwiched around a double-double (15 points, 10 rebounds) in the win over PSAC East-leading East Stroudsburg.

This is Smith's sixth IUP Athlete of the Week award of her career, including the third this season.
