Seniors Luise von Agris and Liz Coppella have been named the IUP Athletes of the Week, announced by the IUP Sports Information Office Monday morning.
 
Von Agris went a combined 5-1 in three matches last week, including a 3-0 record at the second singles spot to increase her personal win streak to seven.
 
Three of her wins came over some of the toughest competition she'll face in the regular season, picking up a pair of singles victories and a doubles win against opponents from No. 22 Grand Valley State and No. 44 Wayne State. One of those came over GVSU's Alexa Sweeney, defeating her 6-0, 6-3.
 
This is von Agris' second straight IUP weekly honor and the third of her career.
 
Coppella had her finest outing of the outdoor track & field season as the pole vaulter hit an NCAA provisional qualifying mark with a height of 3.70 meters at the Millersville Metrics. Her height was more than 10 inches better than the second place vaulter.
 
Coppella's height of 3.70 meters currently ranks second in the PSAC and 17th in Division II.
 
This is her second IUP weekly honor of 2017-18 and the fifth of her career.
