Allyson Mitidieri earns IUP Athlete of the Week honors after an extremely successul weekend at the 2014 PSAC Swimming Championships. Mitidieri finished in the top three in seven individual and relay events, racking up six NCAA B standards, one NCAA A standard, and five new school records. She became the PSAC champion in the 400 yard IM, breaking her own school record with a time of 4:21.83. Her time of 2:01.59 in the 200 yard IM was good for second place and was an automatic NCAA qualifying mark. Individually, Mitidieri finished second in the 100 yard breaststroke and broke a record in the 200 yard breaststroke, finishing third. She swam in three relays which broke school records, including the 200 yard medley relay (second place), 400 yard medley relay (second) and the 800 yard freestyle relay (third). Mitidieri helped the Crimson Hawks to a second place finish, the best for the program since winning the conference title in 1999.
