Terrrell Holloway intercepted quarterback Cody Shroeder three times in the first half of play in IUP's 20-7 victory over bitter rival, California. The Crimson Hawks forced five turnovers, three at the hands of Holloway who nabbed two of his picks in the end zone. He also added a pass breakup in his stellar performance. All three of the senior's interceptions came in the first half, the first coming on California's second possession of the game, when Marco Pecora blitzed and tipped a Shroeder pass, allowing Holloway to scoop up the ball. Twice the Vulcans drove down the field and threatened to score only to have Holloway breakup those attempts. His first end zone pick came on a California third and goal from the six, stopping a 16-play, 60-yard drive by the Vulcans. He followed that up by wrestling the ball away from a California receiver as the Vulcans had a third and goal at the five. That stopped an 11-play, 50-yard drive for California and would be the last play from Shroeder as he was replaced by James Harris. The IUP defense held the Vulcans to seven points on just 205 yards of total offense, allowing California's quarterbacks to complete only 13 passes on 29 attempts and forcing five turnovers. The victory snapped a six-game losing streak against the Vulcans and was IUP's first Coal Bowl title. With the win, the seventh-ranked Crimson Hawks improve to 4-0, 2-0 on the season.
