Larry Wilson enters his second year as IUP's offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach in 2023.
Wilson made an immediate impact in 2022 for the Crimson Hawks offense, ranking among the top five in the PSAC in nearly every major statistical category. Overall, IUP ranked third in the PSAC in scoring offense (31.6), third in passing offense (249.1), fourth in rushing offense (161.7), second in total offense (410.8) and third in first downs (268.)
The IUP offense saw three All-Americans, two all-region and six all-conference picks during the 2022 season. Duane Brown, Darrell Davis and John Robinson all earned All-American honors for IUP in 2022, with Brown picking up PSAC West Offensive Player of the Year laurels.
Wilson comes to Indiana after spending the last 17 seasons at Cal U where he coached wide receivers, was a special teams coordinator, and spent three seasons coordinating the Vulcans' offense.
Wilson has helped the Vulcans to some of the best seasons in program history. Cal U hit double-figure wins six times with Wilson coaching the offense, with five straight trips to the NCAA Division II playoffs, including including three consecutive national semifinal appearances. Five of his receivers have earned All-American status while the group has combined for 19 first team and nine second team All-PSAC West honors. Wilson has also helped four kicking specialists earn All-American honors.
