The Home of IUP basketball and volleyball until 2011, the Memorial Field House now serves as the the Crimson Hawks official practice facility. The offices of the IUP football, soccer, softball, swimming, lacrosse, baseball, track & field, and cross country teams are located in the Field House, as well as the Pidgeon Natatorium, which is the home of IUP swimming.

The lower level of the Field House holds a full-size weight room, indoor practice space, as well as the football and other various sports' locker rooms. The Field House is also home to the IUP athletic training staff.

The interior of the Memorial Field House was transformed during the summer and fall of 2019, adding a Fueling Station and indoor turf practice space. The Fueling Station is a collaboration between IUP Athletics and Sports Nutrition Services, adding a nutritional component as well as a new-look entrance for visitors. The renovated practice space totals nearly 7,900 square feet of turf and replaced the old auxiliary gym and its rubberized flooring. The facility measures 35 yards long by 25 yards wide with 12-foot high usable wall space and still includes batting cages for the baseball and softball programs. The interior of the Field House was also redesigned to celebrate the successes of IUP Athletics and its student-athletes, including an All-American Wall, IUP in the NFL and IUP Football Champions walls, and graphics lining the inside hallways.
