The IUP women's soccer team kept Bloomsburg off the board for 95 minutes but Bloomsburg scored in overtime to defeat the Crimson Hawks 1-0 in overtime Tuesday in PSAC action.

The IUP (8-4-1, 6-4-1 PSAC) was outshot by Bloomsburg (7-2-2, 7-2-1 PSAC) 15-7 but a strong showing from the Crimson Hawk defense saw only four of those shots on net.

Katie Walczuk found the back of the net at 96:11 on a header off a Katy Fexa cross for the only goal of the game.

The Crimson Hawks best scoring chance came early in the game when Melissa Kornock (Hatfield/North Penn) hit the post with a shot.

Kelly Brennan (Middletown/Middletown) made three saves and was hung with the loss. IUP drops to a tie for fifth with Kutztown in the PSAC playoff race a point behind Slippery Rock for the fourth spot and a first round home playoff game.

The Crimson Hawks return to action 1 p.m. on Saturday when they host East Stroudsburg at South
Campus Soccer Field.
