Despite outshooting East Stroudsburg 7-3, IUP dropped a 1-0 decision to visiting East Stroudsburg Saturday afternoon at the South Campus Soccer Field.

Bridget Connell scored for the Warriors (5-7-1, 4-7 PSAC) with just over a minute to play when she beat IUP goalie Kelly Brennan (Middletown/Middletown) unassisted to set the final.  IUP dropped to 8-5-1 and 6-5-1 in the PSAC.

Melissa Kornock (Hatfield/North Penn) paced the Crimson Hawk offense with four shots. Allison Keller (Exton, Pa./Downingtown), Ashley Moyer (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) and Tori Pikur (Gibsonia/Pine-Richland) also registered shots for IUP.

Brennan made two saves - one in each half - and took the loss in goal for IUP.

With the loss IUP stays in a tie for fifth place in the PSAC standings with 19 points. The Crimson Hawks look to bounce back when they travel to Slippery Rock Tuesday.
