IUP senior Allison Keller (Exton, Pa./Downingtown) scored her third goal of the season to help the Crimson Hawks to a 2-1 win over visiting Lock Haven Saturday afternoon at South Campus Soccer Field.

Keller got IUP (9-6-1, 7-6-1) on the board at 23:50 on a pass by Melissa Kornock (Hatfield/North Penn) to end the Crimson Hawks long scoring drought and give them a 1-0 halftime lead.

Lock Haven (6-8-2, 3-8-2) bounced back at 58:32 when Madison Taylor scored unassisted.

The Crimson Hawks outshot the Bald Eagles 23-9 and needed every one of those shots as Kornock found the back of net with a header with just over a minute to play on a cross from Carter Sheely (Carlisle/Cumberland Valley).

Senior Kelsey Dowling (Fredericksburg, Va./Riverbend) picked up her first win of the season in net making six saves.

With the win IUP currently ranks sixth in the PSAC soccer standings with the top eight going on to the playoffs.

The Crimson Hawks close out their regular season next Saturday when they travel to West Virginia Wesleyan.
