A balanced attack helped the IUP women's volleyball team to down Mercyhurst 3-0 Friday night at Memorial Field House.

Jessica Bodkin (Newport Beach, Calif./Newport Harbor) and Laura McFadden (Orefield, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic) led the Crimson Hawk (21-9, 10-8 PSAC) offense with nine kills each. Danielle Ostendorf (Rockford, IL/Boylan Catholic) and Morgan Cerveny (Richfield, OH/Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy) each chipped in eight kills.

Chelsey Kreinbrook (Dawson, Pa./Geibel Catholic) triggered the IUP offense with 23 assists. Emily Pany (Coplay, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic) tallied 32 digs her highest total for a match that only went three sets.

Becky Leusch paced the Lakers (16-15, 8-10) with a game high 10 kills.

Despite the win a Gannon win eliminated the Crimson Hawks from contention for the PSAC playoffs but remain in the hunt to make the regional tournament.

The Crimson Hawks return to action tomorrow night when the host the Edinboro on senior day at 4 p.m. at Memorial Field House.
