The IUP women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision at regionally ranked Edinboro in PSAC soccer action Wednesday night.

The Crimson Hawks (1-2-1, 0-2 PSAC) got a slow start only getting two shots off in the first half of play to the Fighting Scots (4-1-0, 2-1 PSAC) 12, but junior goalkeeper Kelly Brennan (Middletown/Middletown) faced the onslaught and held Edinboro scoreless to keep the score at 0-0 at halftime.

In the second half IUP managed to out shoot Edinboro but it was the Fighting Scots Karisa Fernandez that scored a pair of second half goals to set the final.

Freshman Carter Sheely (Carlisle/Cumberland Valley) led the Crimson Hawks with three shots. Tori Pikur (Gibsonia/Pine-Richland), Heather Robbins (Frederica, DE/Polytech) and Paige Virgara (Pittsburgh/Keystone Oaks) each tallied two shots a piece for IUP.

The Crimson Hawks look to get back on the winning track on Saturday when they host Clarion in PSAC action at 1 p.m. at South Campus Soccer Field.
