The “Black Out Night” crowd behind the IUP women's volleyball team was not enough to lift the Crimson Hawks as they fell 3-0 to Wheeling Jesuit Tuesday night at Memorial Field House.

Jessica Bodkin (Newport Beach, Calif./Newport Harbor) paced IUP (11-2) with seven kills and a block while Allissa Ware led Wheeling Jesuit (11-2) with 11 kills and three blocks.

The first set was back and forth with IUP as close as 19-18 but the Cardinals scored five straight points to open the lead back up to 24-18 and won the set 25-20.

The Crimson Hawks dropped the next two sets by identical 25-17 scores.

Emily Pany (Coplay, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic) recorded 13 digs for IUP and Chelsey Kreinbrook (Dawson, Pa./Geibel Catholic) added 14 assists and three blocks. Morgan Cerveny (Richfield, OH/Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy) and Danielle Ostendorf (Rockford, IL/Boylan Catholic) each chipped in three blocks for the Crimson Hawks.

IUP returns to action on Friday with a trip to Slippery Rock for a PSAC West matchup.
