Box Score

CLARION, PA - Heather Robbins (Frederica, DE/Polytech) scored her team-leading ninth goal of the season and added an assist as the No. 15 Crimson Hawks defeated Clarion in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action by a score of 2-0 on Saturday afternoon.

IUP, 7-1-1, 5-1-1 in the PSAC, had an early 1-0 advantage when Robbins took a beautiful pass from Kelsey Fisher (Selinsgrove/Selinsgrove) and deposited it in the back of the net at the 17:00 mark.

That score would remain until the 83rd minute, when Carter Sheely (Carlisle/Cumberland Valley) added the Crimson Hawks second goal of the game off of a Robbins assist. The IUP defense was spectacular all afternoon, limiting the Clarion Offense to just three shots on goal. Mara Hrisik played all 90 minutes in goal for the Crimson Hawks and had three saves.

IUP return this Monday for a PSAC showdown with No. 2 Cal. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m. at South Campus Field.
