CALIFORNIA, PA – The Crimson Hawks played strong but fell short to Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC ) West rival Cal, as IUP lost to the Vulcans in three sets on Tuesday night in California.

IUP fell 25-14 in the opening set before dropping sets two and three 25-19 and 25-18, respectively.

Danielle Ostendorf (Rockford, IL/Boylan Catholic) led the Crimson Hawks offense with six kills, adding a service ace and two block assists defensively. Lauren Hester (State College, Pa. /State College) added five kills while Emily Vaughn (Shippensburg/Shippensburg) had 17 digs and Stacey Root (York/Spring Grove) added 15.

The Crimson Hawks continue their October road trip by visiting Juniata on Friday and Edinboro on Saturday.
