IUP traveled to Morgantown, W.Va., on Saturday and came away with a 9-0 victory over West Virginia Wesleyan for its first win of the spring season.
The Crimson Hawks did not drop a set in improving to 5-2 on the season.
Tabtip Louhabanjong (Krabi, Thailand/West Anchorage (AK)) lost only two games in a 6-2, 6-0 win over Olga Demina while
Ranvita Mahto (Burlington, ON/Robert Bateman) also swept a set in downing Liana Yamamoto 6-0, 6-3.
The doubles teams of Louhabanjong and
Katie Eaton (Halesowen, United Kingdom/Haybridge), Maho and
Kelly McBryan (Grove City/Grove City) and
Alex Ballard (Akron, Ohio/St. Vincent-St. Mary) and
Emilia Osborne (Leighton Buzzard, United Kingdom/Cedars ) all won easily, losing a total of only six games.
The Crimson Hawks are back in action March 7 when they play Limestone in the opening game of their spring trip to Hilton Head, S.C.
