Tabtip Louhabanjong (Krabi, Thailand/West Anchorage (AK)) and Ranvita Maho won singles matches for the lone IUP points in a 7-2 loss to Concordia (N.Y.), the top-ranked team in the NCAA East Region, Saturday at the Ebensburg Tennis Club.

Louhabanjong went to a tiebreaker before defeating Yuliya Plevako 6-2, 3-6, 7-6 (7-5) at No. 2 singles, and Mahto took a straight set 6-3, 6-3 decision over Maria Ortiz at No. 4.

Katie Eaton (Halesowen, United Kingdom/Haybridge) was matched up against Ola Roberts, ranked No. 37 in the nation in singles, at No. 1 and dropped a 6-4, 6-1 match. Roberts and Juliana Frey are ranked No. 9 in the country in doubles and posted a narrow 8-6 win over the IUP team of Louhabanjong and Eaton.

Concordia is 13-1 on the season, having won its first 12 matches of the year before losing Friday at California.

IUP plays its first PSAC West match of the season Wednesday at Mercyhurst.
