IUP won at each of the top four singles spots and took two of three doubles matches to post a 6-3 victory over Brevard and stay undefeated in three matches on its spring trip to Hilton Head, S.C.

In a tightly contested match, three of the singles matches went to a third set, with the Crimson Hawks winning two of them, and two other IUP victories involved close second sets.

Katie Eaton (Halesowen, United Kingdom/Haybridge) and Ranvita Mahto (Burlington, ON/Robert Bateman) won their match when they took a 10-7 win in the third set. Tabtip Louhabanjong (Krabi, Thailand/West Anchorage (AK)) and Emilia Osborne (Leighton Buzzard, United Kingdom/Cedars ) won their matches in straight sets, with Louhabanjong pushed to a tiebreaker in winning the second set 7-6 and Osborne finishing off her match with a 7-5 second set win.

Kelly McBryan (Grove City/Grove City) won the first set of her singles match and also went to a tiebreaker before losing at No. 5. Eaton and Louhabanjong were victorious at No. 1 doubles as were Osborne and Alex Ballard (Akron, Ohio/St. Vincent-St. Mary) at No. 3.

The win improves IUP's dual match record to 8-2 with matches remaining against Ashland and Millersville the next two days. Ashland was pushed hard by Brevard in a 5-4 win earlier this week.
