Ranvita Mahto (Burlington, ON/Robert Bateman) and Emilia Osborne (Leighton Buzzard, United Kingdom/Cedars ) each recorded wins in their singles and doubles matches Sunday to lead second-seeded IUP to a 5-0 win over seventh-seeded Winston-Salem State in semifinal action of the NCAA Atlantic Region #2 tournament played on the indoor courts at the Lakevue Racquet Club.

The Crimson Hawks will play Slippery Rock Monday at 5 p.m. at the same venue with the winner advancing to the national tournament May 11-14 in Altamonte Spring, Fla. The Crimson Hawks are seeking their first trip to nationals in their fifth overall appearance in the NCAA tournament.

IUP has defeated Slippery Rock twice this season, including a 5-3 victory in the opening round of the PSAC tournament.

IUP earned its 20th win of the season against only six losses, marking the first 20-win season in school history. The Crimson Hawks snapped Winston-Salem State's 27-match winning streak, handing the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Conference champion only its second loss of the year.

Mahto and No. 2 doubles partner Kelly McBryan (Grove City/Grove City) won a hard-fought 8-6 decision, and Mahto then won her No. 4 singles match by a score of 6-0, 6-2. Osborne and No. 3 doubles partner Alex Ballard (Akron, Ohio/St. Vincent-St. Mary) won an 8-2 decision before Osborne reigned by 6-1, 6-3 scores in the No. 3 singles match.

IUP completed a sweep of the doubles matches with a victory by Tabtip Louhabanjong (Krabi, Thailand/West Anchorage (AK)) and Katie Eaton (Halesowen, United Kingdom/Haybridge) at No. 1.  Louhabanjong, Eaton and McBryan were all leading their singles matches when the Crimson Hawks clinched the victory.
