AT A GLANCE
The Crimson Hawks look to keep their unbeaten streak to begin the year alive this weekend against a pair of PSAC East foes on the road. IUP takes on Cheyney Saturday afternoon, before facing a tough West Chester squad on Sunday. The Golden Rams are also undefeated and hope to remain atop the eastern division.

LAST TIME OUT
10 players scored at least 4 points as the Crimson Hawks coasted to an easy 73-24 win over Ursuline Wednesday night. Sr. F Sarah Pastorek (Johnstown/Bishop McCort) and So. F Ashley Stoner (Pittsburgh, Pa. /Thomas Jefferson) each tallied 10 points in the first half, while Jr. G Jessica Wallace (Vanderhoof, BC/Nechako Valley Secondary) provided a spark in the second half with 8 points and 5 assists.

PLENTY OF DEPTH
Though most of the starters did not play in the second half Wednesday, the Crimson Hawks continued to dominate the Arrows thanks to strong outings from Wallace, Jr. F Melanie Todd (Springfield, VA/West Springfield), and Fr. G Alexis Aiken (Pittsburgh, Pa. /North Allegheny). Todd deposited 7 points and grabbed 8 rebounds, while Aiken poured in 9 points on 4-of-6 shooting from the field. So. G Lindsay Stamp (Erie, Pa. /Mercyhurst Prep) was also impressive, chipping in 6 points and 8 boards.

CLIMBING THE LADDER
One of the most dominant players in IUP history, Pastorek sits in 19th place on the Crimson Hawks all-time scoring list with 1,029 points. She is on pace to break into the top five this year. Pastorek is just 51 points shy of passing Jacqui Miller (2000-04) for 18th on the list.

DEFENSIVE PROWESS
IUP owns the top scoring defense in the PSAC this season, limiting opponents to just 39.5 points per game. The Crimson Hawks have been impressive on the glass in the early-going, ranking second in the conference in defensive rebounds with 28.5 per game.

NCAA RANKINGS
The Crimson Hawks are ranked 19th in the latest Division II ESPN/USA Today Coaches' Poll after a 4-0 start to the season. IUP is just 14 points behind Grand Canyon (AZ) for 18th place, while PSAC West rivals Gannon and Edinboro sit in 11th and 15th, respectively.

THE HEAD COACH
Jeff Dow (Oregon, '81) enters his fifth season as the head coach of the IUP women's basketball program after leading the Crimson Hawks to a record of 23-7, 17-5 in the PSAC, and an appearance in the Atlantic Region Semifinals a season ago. Earlier this season, Dow eclipsed 200 wins in his head coaching career. has a career record of 202-97 with previous stops at Anderson, Texas A&M-Kingsville and Texas-San Antonio.
