BUCKHANNON, WV - It took 110 minutes for a Crimson Hawk to find the net, but they were unable to captalize this afternoon against West Virginia Wesleyan in non-conference play, as IUP tied the Bobcats 0-0.

Neither team was able to take control of the field during the first half of play. The Bobcats Olivia Peduzzi took the first shot for either team, hitting the crossbar at the 3:44 minute mark. It wasn't until the 26:42 mark that IUP's Nikalette Fonseca (Murrysville/Franklin Regional) looked for the back of the net, but her shot sailed wide.

The Bobcats attempted to strike first in the second half of play, taking it to goalie Mara Hricik (Moon Twp./Moon), the first shot being high above the net, the second Hricik came up with a big save. Tonya Fabian (Pittsburgh/Thomas Jefferson) had the only two shots for the Hawks in the second half, her first came at 74:16 hitting the crossbar and the other Bobcats goalie Laura Duncan came up with the save.

After a shot-less first 10 minutes of overtime, Brittney Kuhns (Middleburg, Pa. /Midd-West) had two shots on goal, both neither could find the back of the net against Duncan. The Crimson Hawks outshot the Bobcats 5-3 during both regulation and overtime action.

Although a tie, it is deemed even more impressive due to the Bobcats 1-0 overtime victory over fourth-ranked California last week.

The Crimson Hawks (3-1-1), travel to Shippensburg for some PSAC action on Friday. Game time is set for 3:00 pm.
