EDIBORO, PA – The IUP women's volleyball team closed out the 2013 season, falling to Edinboro in straight sets.

The Fighting Scots avenged a four-set loss handed to them by the Crimson Hawks earlier this season, winning this round 25-21, 27-25, 25-22.

Elizabeth Sova (Myerstown, Pa. /ELCO) led the way for IUP, recording 12 kills, one ace and four blocks. Lisa Kissell (Greensburg, Pa. /Greensburg Salem) added five kills and three blocks and Meghan Schneider (Lake Geneva, Wis. /Big Foot) added three kills, one ace and three blocks.

Defensively, Joie Hrapla (Pittsburgh, Pa. /Bishop Canevin) registered nine kills, followed by Kelly Barnes (Inver Grove Heights, MN/Simley) with eight.

Setter Lindsay Moeller (Troy, Mich./Troy) added 20 assists.

With the loss, the Crimson Hawks end their season with a 13-21 record (9-13 PSAC).
