AT A GLANCE
The Crimson Hawks wrap up Indiana Regional Medical Center Classic play hosting The University of the Sciences in non-conference matchup. IUP won its first game of the IRMC Classic, defeating Shaw 74-57. The University of the Sciences is also 1-0 on the tournament, claiming a surprising victory over Pitt-Johnstown 74-68. IUP comes in at 5-0 on the season, ranked 10th nationally. They are the only Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference West team to still hold a perfect record. The Sciences improved their record to 4-2 with two wins over PSAC teams.
JUST KEEP WINNING
IUP improved to PSAC West leading 5-0 on the season with the 74-57 regional victory over Shaw. The Crimson Hawks moved to No. 10 in the National Association of Basketball Coaches Division II Poll Tuesday, jumping one post from their previous 11th ranking. They are the top-ranked PSAC school, with East rival East Stroudsburg making an appearance at the No. 23 spot.
FRESHMAN KING
After posting career numbers in last week's wins over Pitt-Johnstown and Clarion, R-Fr. G
Cornell Yarde II (Reading, Pa. /Schuylkill Valley) earned PSAC West Freshman of the Week honors. Yarde is leading all IUP bench players, averaging 20.6 minutes per game, 3.6 points per game, 3.2 rebounds per game and 1.4 assists per game. The IUP bench has scored just 21 points in its last two
competitions, with Yarde scoring 14 of those.

Marcel Souberbielle (Montevideo, Uruguay/Uruguayan American School) and Sr. G
Mathis Keita (Thionville, France/Insep) are leading the way for the Crimson Hawks this season. Both players are averaging more than 18.0 points per game and lead the team in nearly every category. The two have combined for 197 points, 63 rebounds, 25 assists, 18 steals and four blocks. They rank in the top six in scoring, three-point field goal percentage and minutes in the conference.
HOME TOURNEY
IUP is 6-1 in the IRMC Classic play over the last three years, with the only loss coming to West Virginia Wesleyan in 2011. The annual tournament has been kind to the Crimson Hawks, as they've outscored opponents by an average of 9.67 points per game, putting up 70+ points in four of seven victories.
