AT A GLANCE
The Crimson Hawks return to the court for the second straight night as they host PSAC East foe Shippensburg in crossover action on Wednesday at the KCAC. IUP rebounded from its first loss of the season with a convincing 70-50 win over Millersville last night. Shippensburg has won six straight and defeated Pitt-Johnstown 90-74 on the road last night. Both teams enter with 7-1 overall records.

THE SERIES
IUP leads the all-time series with Shippensburg 35-31. The two teams have split the last four meetings with the Crimson Hawks on a two-game winning streak. Each of those IUP victories have come in the KCAC, winning 74-71 last year and 78-73 in 2011.

NATIONAL RANKINGS
The Crimson Hawks fell out of the USA TODAY Sports Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll last week after losing their first game of the year to Seton Hill. They had been ranked 25th on Dec. 3. 

OFFENSE VS. DEFENSE
The Crimson Hawks boast arguably the top defense in the PSAC, leading the conference and ranking 7th in Division II by allowing just 53.3 ppg. IUP has held opponents to 50 or fewer points four times and only two teams have scored more than 53 in a game. IUP also leads the PSAC by holding opponents to a 31.2 FG% and are 3rd with a 22.7 3FG%. Shippensburg scores 82.4 ppg, 2nd in the PSAC, and has scored 90 points three times.

TOP SCORER
Jr. G Lindsay Stamp (Erie, Pa. /Mercyhurst Prep)
leads the PSAC and is 9th in Division II with 22.0 ppg this year. Her 51.1 FG% (68-133) is 7th in the conference while her 37.8 3FG% (17-45) ranks 9th. She has scored 20 points in seven of her eight games and a total of 12 times in her career. In her 22 games as a starter for the Crimson Hawks, Stamp is averaging 18.2 ppg.

BENCH PLAY
IUP gets 15.6 ppg from its bench - 22.3 pct. of its overall scoring. Three times they've scored at least 20 points, including 21 last night against Millersville. This group regularly features four players, and has seen as many nine.

CRASHING THE BOARDS
Five players are averaging at least 5.4 rpg for the Crimson Hawks, who lead the PSAC with a +9.9 rebounding margin and are 4th with 44.1 rpg. Stamp is tops with 7.0 rpg while Jr. F Ashley Stoner (Pittsburgh, Pa. /Thomas Jefferson) grabs 6.8 rpg, including a team-high 32 offensive boards. IUP has outrebounded its opponents in all but one game.

HITTING THE "3"
The Crimson Hawks are 3rd in the PSAC with 7.0 3s per game and 6th with a 33.1 3FG% this year. Four players are shooting better than 33.3 pct. from beyond the arc, with Jr. G Amy Fairman (Creekside, Pa. /Marion Center) leading the way with a 45.5 pct. (10-22). Stamp has hit 17 3's while Jr. Gs Marita Mathe (Indiana, Pa. /Indiana) and Leslie Stapleton (Indiana, Pa. /Indiana) each have knocked down 10. 

SCOUTING SHIPPENSBURG
One of the top teams in the PSAC East, the star-studded Raiders are on a six-game winning streak, with five games of at least 81 points. Sr. G Sarah Strybuc has scored 33 and 36 points in her last two games and is 2nd in the PSAC in scoring at 21.0 ppg. So. F Stephanie Knauer (18.5 ppg, 9.3 rpg, 61.4 FG%) is one of the top post players in the conference and Fr. G Lauren Gold leads the PSAC with 5.4 apg and 54 pct. of her points come at the free throw line. 

CRIMSON HAWKS BY THE NUMBERS
