AT A GLANCE
The Crimson Hawks travel to Kutztown to take on the Golden Bears this Saturday in their final action before the new year. IUP is 2-0 this week against PSAC East competition, defeating Millersville and Shippensburg at home by a combined 41 points. Kutztown is 2-2 in the month of December, including a two-point loss at Pitt-Johnstown on Wednesday. The Crimson Hawks carry an 8-1 overall record while Kutztown is 5-4.

THE SERIES
IUP has dominated the all-time series with Kutztown with a 17-4 record. The Crimson Hawks have won five of the last six in the series, with the only loss coming last year on the road (68-62). IUP is 7-4 all-time at Kutztown.

DEFENSIVE DOMINANCE
The main strength of the Crimson Hawks this season is their defense. They give up just 52.8 ppg - tops in the PSAC and 7th-best in Division II - forcing opponents to 53 or fewer points in seven of their nine games. On Wednesday they held Shippensburg to 33 points below their season average of 82.4. IUP is also first in the PSAC in defensive FG% (.315) and defensive 3FG% (.241).

TOP SCORER
Jr. G Lindsay Stamp (Erie, Pa. /Mercyhurst Prep) leads the PSAC and is 9th in Division II with 21.1 ppg this year. Her 48.7 FG% (73-150) is 9th in the conference while her 40.4 3FG% (21-52) ranks 6th. She has scored 20 points in seven of her nine games and a total of 12 times in her career. In her 23 games as a starter for the Crimson Hawks, Stamp is averaging 18.0 ppg.

BENCH PLAY
IUP gets 16.3 ppg from its bench - 23.3 pct. of its overall scoring. four times they've scored at least 20 points, including 22 against Shippensburg. This group regularly
features four players, and has seen as many nine. Jr. G Leslie Stapleton (Indiana, Pa. /Indiana) has scored a combined 21 points off the bench in the last two games.

STEPPING IN
Sr. G Talen Watson (Odenton, MD/Arundel) has stepped into the starting lineup for injured Jr. G Marita Mathe (Indiana, Pa. /Indiana) over the last three games. As a starter, Watson is averaging 10.0 ppg and has 5 assists in each of the last two games.

PLAYING IN THE POST
Jr. F Ashley Stoner (Pittsburgh, Pa. /Thomas Jefferson) has played strong in the post, averaging 9.0 ppg and 7.0 rpg and has a 52.7 FG% this year. Over her last two games she's averaging 14.0 ppg, including a season-high 16 points against Shippensburg, and has made13-17 shots from the field. 

DOING IT ALL
Jr. G Amy Fairman (Creekside, Pa. /Marion Center) contributes in all facets of the game, ranking 2nd on the team with 9.4 ppg, 2nd with 3.6 apg, and 5th with 5.3 rpg. She's also 6th in the PSAC with 24 steals  and has 41.7 3FG%, which would also rank 6th if she qualified. 

SCOUTING KUTZTOWN
The Golden Bears enter the weekend after splitting its last four games, including a two-point loss at UPJ on Wednesday. Seven of Kutztown's nine games this year have been decided by six points or less, with KU holding a 4-3 record in those games. R-Jr. G Alyssa Bonenberger leads the Golden Bears in four different categories, including points (11.8 pg) and rebounds (8.4 pg). Jr. F Advia Campbell nearly pulled off a quadruple-double with 11 points, 15 rebounds, 10 blocks and 7 steals vs. WCU.
