AT A GLANCE
The Crimson Hawks look to keep up their hot streak as they host the No. 7 Gannon Golden Knights this Wednesday night at the KCAC. Currently on a three-game winning streak, IUP is averaging 88 points during that span and will hope to avenge its 11-point loss to Gannon in December. The top team in the PSAC West by 2 games, Gannon has won each of its last 5 games.

LAST TIME OUT
Building a 41-19 halftime lead, the Crimson Hawks cruised to an easy 77-48 win over rival Slippery Rock last Saturday at home. So. G Lindsay Stamp (Erie, Pa. /Mercyhurst Prep) had a season-high 24 points while So. F Ashley Stoner (Pittsburgh, Pa. /Thomas Jefferson) added 11 points while So. G Amy Fairman (Creekside, Pa. /Marion Center) dished out 6 asssits.

PSAC WEEKLY HONORS
The Crimson Hawks swept the PSAC West weekly awards on Monday as So. G Lindsay Stamp (Erie, Pa. /Mercyhurst Prep) was named Player of the Week and Fr. F Zhané Brooks was named Freshman of the Week. Stamp averaged 21.5 points and 6.0 rebounds in IUP's 2 wins last week while Brooks went for 13.0 points and 5.0 rebounds along with a 68.8 FG%.

CLINCHING A SPOT
With their win over Slippery Rock, the Crimson Hawks clinched a spot in the PSAC tournament next month. The newly expanded tournament format will feature 6 teams from each division and will begin on Sat. March 2. It will be the 8th straight year IUP has reached the conference postseason.

HITTING THE “3”
The Crimson Hawks are one of the best three-point shooting teams in the PSAC, converting at a 34.8 pct (118-339) clip through 21 games. With 5.6 made per game, they're on pace to threaten the school's all-time mark 3's in a season of 184 in 2004-05. At this current rate they'll need 33 games to do so but with a 28-game regular season and an expanded PSAC tournament and potential NCAA postseason run, this team record could fall this year.

PICKING UP THE (SCORING) PACE
The Crimson Hawks have been on a torid scoring pace over the past five games,
averaging 82.2 points per outing with three 84-plus point performances. The big night came 10 days ago when IUP put 100 on the board against Mercyhurst and continued at Lock Haven with 88 and Slippery Rock with 77 points. 6 players are averaging at least 9.6 ppg during that span while 5 are in double-figures. For the season IUP is averaging 70.7 points per game.

THE HEAD COACH
Jeff Dow (Oregon, '88) is in his fifth season as the head coach at IUP, leading the Crimson Hawks to a pair of NCAA tournaments (2009, 2012) and a PSAC championship during a 26-6 debut season in 2008-09. Last Wednesday Dow eclipsed 100 wins in his IUP head coaching career (101-36) and has an overall record of 213-101.
