AT A GLANCE
The Crimson Hawks look to rebound from their second loss of the season as they get back to PSAC West play at Mercyhurst on Saturday afternoon. The loss to Bloomsburg on Wednesday night snapped a five-game winning streak as IUP enters the weekend with an 11-2 record and a 2-1 mark in the division. The Lakers are winners of just one in their last five games, a 14-point win over Cheyney last weekend. Mercyhurst is 3-10 overall and 1-2 in the division.

THE SERIES
IUP has dominated the series with Mercyhurst with an all-time record of 16-3. The Crimson Hawks have won 12 straight dating back to 1997-98, including three games a season ago.

NATIONAL RANKINGS
The Crimson Hawks appeared at No. 20 in Tuesday's edition of the WBCA Top 25 poll. It was the second national poll that IUP has been in, coming in at No. 25 back on Dec. 3. Unfortunately, the Crimson Hawks have dropped each of their games immediately following the release of the poll (L 63-62 at Seton Hill on Dec. 7).

TOP SCORER
Jr. G Lindsay Stamp (Erie, Pa. /Mercyhurst Prep) leads the PSAC and is 24th in the nation with 21.4 ppg this season. She's posted 10 20-point performances this year alone and has 15 for her career, including 13 in 44 games at IUP. Including her time at Mercyhurst, Stamp has totaled 818 career points and is on pace to hit the 1,000-point milestone later this season.

AGAINST HER FORMER TEAM
This will be Stamp's fourth game against her former team since transferring after her 2011-12 freshman season. She's averaging 12.7 ppg in those previous three meetings and racked up 20 points, 8 rebounds, 5 steals and 4 blocks against the Lakers in the first round of last year's PSAC tournament.

BENCH PLAY
The IUP bench averages 17.5 ppg, which is 24.6 pct. of its overall scoring. The Crimson Hawks' bench has scored at least 20 points in seven of their 13 games, including 23 against Bloomsburg. They got a huge jolt when Jr. G Leslie Stapleton (Indiana, Pa. /Indiana) moved to the bench six games ago, as she averages 12.0 ppg, including a career-high 21 at Kutztown on Dec. 21.

STEPPING UP
After moving to the bench on Dec. 17 against Millersville, Stapleton has increased her scoring average by more than 2 points, hitting double-figures in six games. She's the hottest three-point shooter on the team during that span, making 15-28 (53.6 pct.) from beyond the arc, including a 5-10 performance against Kutztown.

BEYOND THE ARC
The Crimson Hawks are putting together one of the best three-point shooting seasons in school history. Their 37.6 3FG% leads the PSAC and is 15th in Division II and would also break the previous program mark of 35.8 pct. set during the 2009-10 season. IUP has knocked down a total of 97 3's and its 7.5 made per game is currently 3rd in the PSAC.
