AT A GLANCE
The Crimson Hawks return home to welcome Slippery Rock on "Rivalry Night" at the KCAC on Saturday. IUP is currently dealing with a five-game losing streak, but has defeated Slippery Rock in each of the last 12 meetings dating back to the 2006-07 season. Slippery Rock picked up its first divisional win on Wednesday with a 75-70 overtime win over Seton Hill, their 2nd win in the last six games.

THE SERIES
IUP holds a 41-36 all-time series lead over Slippery Rock, including that 12-game winning streak. The last win by Slippery Rock in Indiana came in 2005, a streak of nine consecutive home wins for IUP.

IN A SLUMP
IUP's current five-game losing streak is its longest since the seven-game skid to end the 2004-05 season. During the streak, the Crimson Hawks are allowing 72.0 ppg and are being outscored by 8.6 points.

BENCH PLAY
Despite scoring just nine points on Wednesday, the Crimson Hawks' bench as been a strength all season long, averaging 18.5 points per game, 26.7 percent of the team's overall scoring. 10 times the IUP bench scored at least 20 points, including 29 at Mercyhurst. Although now in the starting lineup, Jr. G Leslie Stapleton (Indiana, Pa. /Indiana) was the main threat, averaging 12.0 points and shooting 53.8 percent from three-point range in her eight games off the bench.

STRAIGHT SHOOTER
Stepping into the starting lineup for the ninth time this season at Edinboro, Stapleton scored a team-high 16 points in 34 minutes. She went 4-9 from three-point range, her third straight game of at least 3 three-pointers. For the season she's shooting 39.8 pct. from long range and has made a total of 33 beyond the arc.

TIME TO SHINE
Jr. G Marita Mathe (Indiana, Pa. /Indiana) is starting to get back to her old ways since returning from injury four games ago, averaging 12.3 ppg during that span. She scored a season-high 15 points in just 22 minutes in her first game back against Mercyhurst and is shooting 47.4 pct. from three-point range since coming back.

IN THE POST
Jr. F Ashley Stoner (Pittsburgh, Pa. /Thomas Jefferson) has been consistent inside all year long, leading the team with 6.8 rpg and second with 10.5 ppg. She has 11 double-figure scoring games and has grabbed 6 or more rebounds 13 times. Her 83.7 free throw pct. is currently 3rd in the PSAC and her 51.1 field goal pct. - if she had enough makes to qualify - would be 9th in the conference.


SCOUTING SLIPPERY ROCK
Slippery Rock features a high-scoring offense that includes four players who average double-figures in points. Jr. F D'Asia Chambers is having a breakout season, ranking in the top 5 in the PSAC in both scoring and rebounding. She's hit 30 points four times and has seven double-doubles. So. G Erica Aiello is 3rd in the PSAC with 4.5 apg but has turned it over 85 times this year. Sr. F Jazmyne Frost is another double-double and So. G Aidan Geise has knocked down 41 three-pointers.
