AT A GLANCE
The No. 7 Crimson Hawks return home to host the seventh annual IRMC/Urgicare Classic sponsored by Holiday Inn on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 29-30 at the Kovalchick Complex. Joining IUP during this holiday weekend will be PSAC West foe Pitt-Johnstown as well as The College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY and the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia.

LAST TIME OUT
The Crimson Hawks kept their perfect season intact by holding off a late rally in a 61-59 victory over Bowie State on the road. An important game in the Atlantic Region, the Bulldogs went on a 15-4 run over the final 7:51 to make it a two-point game with 6.2 seconds remaining. The IUP defense smothered Bowie State on its final possession not allowing the Bulldogs to get off a shot to clinch the win. Jr. F Daddy Ugbede (San Mateo, Calif./Serra) had his second straight game of 22 points to lead the Crimson Hawks.

SCOUTING THE SCIENCES
The Devils are off to a 4-1 start with their only loss a 7-point setback at Bridgeport. They're led on both sides of the floor by Jr. G Garrett Kerr, who's averaging 23.8 ppg, 14.2 rpg and 2.4 apg. The do-everything player has 4 double-doubles and is coming off a season-high 30 points in 40 minutes at Wilmington.

SCOUTING SAINT ROSE
The Golden Knights also enter the weekend with a 4-1 record, with their lone loss coming by 15 points to LeMoyne. The scoring is spread out for Saint Rose, with three players averaging in double-figures and six who score at least 7.0 ppg. Jr. G Max Weaver leads the team in scoring at 11.4 ppg while Jr. G Chris Dorgler leads Saint Rose with 6.4 rpg and 3.8 apg.

WHAT'S NEXT
The Crimson Hawks remain at home and get back to their PSAC schedule when they host Mercyhurst on Wednesday. IUP leads the all-time series 18-7 and took a pair of tight games a season ago.

IUP IN THE POLLS
The Crimson Hawks moved up eight spots to No. 7 in the latest NABC Division II poll, released on Wednesday afternoon. IUP won its first four games of the season - all by 16 or more points - after starting the preseason ranked No. 15. IUP is the highest PSAC school in the top 25 (ESU - No. 15).

REGIONAL RANKINGS
New this year is the D2SIDA regional poll, which is voted on by a group of four sports information directors in each NCAA Division II region. In its latest release on Monday, IUP sits at No. 2 in the Atlantic.

DRAKE DADDY
Jr. F Daddy Ugbede (San Mateo, Calif./Serra) has been IUP's leading scorer in each of the last three games, including 22-point outputs in wins over Seton Hill and Bowie State. Those 22 points are a career-high for Ugbede, going 11-16 from the field and 20-23 from the foul line during that three-game span. In those last three games, he's averaging 20.0 ppg all while playing just 20.3 mpg.

OFF THE BENCH
Ugbede has been a welcome addition to the IUP roster as he leads the team with 15.2 ppg in his first season after transferring from Division I Drake. He also leads the PSAC with an 80.6 FG%, making 25-31 of his shots while also averaging 18.4 mpg and 3.6 rpg.

DISHING IT OUT
Sr. G Devante Chance (Philadelphia, Pa. /Electrical & Technology Charter) is 2nd in the PSAC with 6.6 apg so far this season, dishing out 6 or more assists in four of IUP's five games. He's helped IUP average 17.80 apg as a team, as the Crimson Hawks have recorded an assist on 89 of their 141 baskets (63.1 pct).

MOVING UP THE CHARTS
Chance recently moved into the top 10 in IUP history in career assists and is currently 9th all-time with 328 in his 3+ years. He's currently 12 behind Ron McNabb (1979-83) for 8th place and has a shot at Ashton Smith's (2008-12) all-time mark of 456.

SUCCESS AT THE LINE
The Crimson Hawks lead the PSAC by a wide margin with an impressive 85.2 FT%. They've gone 75-88 this year, led by a perfect 13-13 by Chance, which is tops in the league. Ugbede is 3rd with 89.7 pct, making 26-29 from the line. Also contributing are R-So. G Cornell Yarde II (Reading, Pa. /Schuylkill Valley) (10-10), Jr. F Tevin Hanner (Baltimore, Md./Milford Mill) (8-8) and R-Sr. F Jeremy Jeffers (Wilson, N.C./Greenfield School) (7-8).

HIGHLY EFFICIENT
Jr. G Brandon Norfleet (Virginia Beach, Va. /Landstown) hasn't had a "big game" yet, but he's quite possibly been IUP's most efficient and consistent player. He's 2nd on the team with a 63.6 FG% (21-33) and is tied for 2nd on the team with a 2.1 assist-turnover ratio (13-6).

BLOCK PARTY
In a little over two seasons, R-Jr. F Devon Cottrell (Pittsburgh, Pa. /Gateway) is one of IUP's best ever blockers, as his 91 career swats are now 3rd all-time. He's now 12 away from tying Dave Knaub (1982-86) for 2nd and 71 away from Darryl Webb's (2007-11) record of 162.
