AT A GLANCE
It's another revenge game for the Crimson Hawks as they travel to California on Wednesday night to face the Vulcans. IUP fell to Cal in the season's first matchup, 69-63 back on Jan. 18 in the KCAC. That was in the midst of a five-game losing streak for the Crimson Hawks, who have rebounded and enter this contest winners of each of their last four. The Vulcans have won six of their last seven and are 1.5 games in front of the Crimson Hawks with an 8-4 divisional record. IUP is 6-5 and in fourth place in the PSAC West.

THE SERIES
California has a slim lead in all-time series with IUP with a record of 38-34. The two teams have split their last four meetings, with the Crimson Hawks getting a season sweep in 2012-13. These two teams have met four times in the postseason since 2008, with each team coming out on top twice.

RAINING THREES
IUP's 39.8 3FG% is 3rd in all of Division II (1st, Saginaw Valley, 40.8 pct). Five regular players are shooting at least 40.0 pct from long-range while three of those are qualified and individually rank in the top six of the PSAC. The Crimson Hawks are currently on pace to break program records in 3FG% (35.8 - 2009-10) and 3FGM (184 - 2004-05).

SHE'S PERFECT
Jr. F Ashley Stoner (Pittsburgh, Pa. /Thomas Jefferson) had a flawless shooting night on Saturday, going a school record 11-11 from the field and tied her career-high with 22 points against Seton Hill. In the process, she raised her season FG% from 50.3 to 53.8. Stoner has scored in double-figures in 10 of her last 13 games and averages 10.6 ppg and a team-high 6.4 rpg.

SUCCESS AT THE FOUL LINE
The Crimson Hawks have been hot from the foul line in the last two games, going a combined 29-36 (80.6 pct.) against Clarion and Seton Hill. For the season, IUP is 7th in the PSAC with a 69.5 FT%, but boast four regulars who are shooting better than 80.0 pct., including Sr. G Talen Watson (Odenton, MD/Arundel) (90.9); Stoner (83.7); Jr. G Leslie Stapleton (Indiana, Pa. /Indiana) (81.4); and Jr. G Amy Fairman (Creekside, Pa. /Marion Center) (80.0).

ON FIRE
Stapleton has taken over as the Crimson Hawks leading scorer since the injury to Jr. G Lindsay Stamp (Erie, Pa. /Mercyhurst Prep), averaging a team-best 15.8 ppg over the past six contests. She's reached double-figures in scoring in each of those games, including a career-high 22 against Slippery Rock and is shooting 47.8 pct. (22-46) from 3-point range and 92.9 pct. (13-14) from the foul line during that span.

SCOUTING CALIFORNIA
The Vulcans win at Edinboro was the first loss for the Fighting Scots in PSAC West play as they strengthened their hold on the No. 3 spot in the division. Not highly ranked in most statistical categories, Cal does win the turnover margin by +6.73 per game and is second in the PSAC with 22.1 forced turnovers. The Vulcans get contributions from a multitude of players, with five averaging at least 8.3 ppg. Jr. G Kaitlynn Fratz and Fr. G Miki Glenn are the PSAC's reigning Athlete and Freshman of the Week winners.
