FINAL SCORESRESULTSINDIANA, PA – The IUP men's and women's swimming teams ended the Crimson Hawks Tri-Meet Invite in victories over Bloomsburg and Gannon, Saturday in Indiana.
The women finished the day 187-145 over Bloomsburg, 226-102 over Gannon. Out of 18 events, one of the Crimson Hawks finished first in 10, including one relay win.
In the 200 yard medley relay,
Emily Shumaker (Carlisle/Big Spring),
Paige Spradling (Lancaster, Pa. /Hempfield),
Aniella Janosky (Dover/Dover Area) and
Taylor Snyder (Titusville, Pa. /Titusville) finished first with a final time of 1:49.71. This was just one second before the second-place Bloomsburg team hit the wall.
Individual wins for the women were earned by Spradling, Snyder,
Beatriz Gonzalez (Barcelona, Spain), Janosky and
Laura Silva (Cali, Colombia/Colegro Bowtista). Each one of these swimmers earned PSAC qualifying times. These five Crimson Hawks added to the overall 35 PSAC qualifiers earned during the meet.

Taylor Campbell (Butler, Pa. /Butler),
Allie Humphries (Vineland, N.J./Vineland) and
Sara Bertram (Alexandria, Va. /West Potomac).
The men finished first in two relays, and earned 51 total PSAC qualifying times.
In the men's 200 yard medley relay,
Paul Singerman (Apollo, Pa. /Kiski),
Zach Fountain (Springfield, Va./West Springfield),
Ben Adams (Katy, Texas/Cypress Springs) and
Andrew Richey (Warminster, Pa. /William Tennent) hit the wall first with a time of 1:36.32. Bloomsburg came in quickly behind them for second place.
In the 400 yard medley relay,
Rudy Da Costa (Durban, KZN, South Africa/Westville Boys'), Fountain, Adams and
Yuri Fernandes (Brazil) found another first place finish for IUP with a 3:29.89 time.
Other first place finishes for the men include
Brandon Hopkins (Marion, Va./Marion), Richey, Fernandes and Adams. Each of these swimmers added to the total PSAC qualifiers.

The two teams will return to the pool February 19 when they travel to York, Pa. to compete in the PSAC Championships.
