@IUP_WBBTHE GAME AT A GLANCEThe PSAC West-leading Crimson Hawks look to sweep the regular season with California (Pa.) when they face the Vulcans in the NCAA Division II Game of the Week on Wednesday. The matchup will be featured on ESPN 3 with the tipoff set for 5:30 p.m. from the Convocation Center on Cal's campus. IUP has won nine of its last 10 games, with a current two-game win streak that includes last Wednesday's 64-49 home victory over Seton Hill. The Crimson Hawks enter this week with a 14-4 overall record and an 11-3 mark in the PSAC. Cal's 78-72 loss to IUP on Dec. 16 was just the second of the season for the Vulcans, who have a 4-3 record since. Cal is coming off of a 76-74 victory over visiting Mercyhurst (9-11, 7-7) on Saturday. The Vulcans enter the week with a 12-5 overall record and are tied for second in the PSAC West with a 10-4 league record.

Tom McConnell has a 1-4 career record against Cal, getting his first win against the Vulcans on Dec. 16 (78-72)
• The Crimson Hawks are 6-2 against PSAC West opponents this year, tied with Edinboro for the best of any division school
• IUP is 5-3 on the road this season while the Vulcans boast a 7-1 home mark; IUP did have a four-game road win streak earlier this year, including an 82-79 win over current nationally-ranked Shippensburg (Dec. 4)
• IUP is the highest scoring team in the PSAC West (third in the PSAC) at 73.0 points per game; the Crimson Hawks have scored 75 or more points nine times this year and 80 points five times, including a season-high 88 points against East Stroudsburg
• IUP is one of the top shooting teams in the league, ranking third with a 43.9 field goal percentage and a 37.6 three-point field goal percentage

Leslie Stapleton (Indiana, Pa. /Indiana) became the 23rd player in IUP history to reach the 1,000-point milestone at Kutztown on Dec. 5. She enters this matchup with 1,124 career points and is on pace to become the ninth player in the history of the program to score 1,300.
• Stapleton is second in IUP history with a 39.3 career three-point field goal percentage (Lacey Claar, 39.5 pct)
• Stapleton is second in IUP history with 193 made three-pointers (Claar, 215)
• Has 57 career double-figure scoring games, including 15 times in 18 games this season
• She set a career-high with 26 points against West Chester (Nov. 22) and has six 20-point games this season
• Stapleton leads Division II with a 96.3 free throw percentage (52-of-54); She opened the season making 27 straight and also had a streak of 22 that recently ended
• Stapleton is No. 6 in the PSAC and No. 75 in the country in points per game (16.6)

MARINA WAREHAM IS ANOTHER THREE-POINT THREAT FOR THE CRIMSON HAWKSSr. G
Marina Wareham (New Wilmington, Pa. /Kennedy Catholic) is one of the top three-point threats in the PSAC this season, as she is third in the conference and ranks 27th in Division II with a 43.8 three-point field goal percentage. Her 42 three-pointers made are seventh and her 2.3 threes per game are tied for fifth in the conference.
• Wareham is fourth on the team with a career-high 10.4 points per game
• She has scored in double-figures nine times this year; Wareham had a career-high 21 points on 9-of-13 shooting at Shippensburg (Dec. 4)
• Wareham has a current streak of eight straight games with a three-pointer; She opened the season with at least one three-pointer in nine straight games and has made a season-high four three-pointers five times
• Wareham is ninth in the PSAC with 76 assists and 4.2 assists per game; She had a career-high eight assists against Slippery Rock (Jan. 9)
• Her 1.8 assist-turnover ratio (76-42) is tied for third in the PSAC
ZHANÉ BROOKS PROVIDES IUP's DOUBLE-DOUBLE THREATSr. F Zhané Brooks has six double-doubles this year, including five in her last nine games. Her career total is nine.
• Brooks is averaging 15.1 points and 8.9 rebounds in her last eight games
• Brooks leads the Crimson Hawks 7.4 rebounds per game and is second in scoring at 13.8 points per game
• For her career, Brooks has 31 double-figure scoring games and 10 double-digit rebounding games
• Brooks is adept at getting to the line, as she ranks second in the PSAC with 110 free throw attempts; her 69 free throws made are eighth in the league
MEGAN SMITH HAS BECOME A BIG TIME THREATSo. G
Megan Smith (Blain, Pa./West Perry) has come into her own, reaching double-figures in scoring 10 times with two double-doubles in her last 11 games, averaging 13.3 points during that span.
• Smith is third in the team in scoring with 11.6 points per game
• She has 12 double-figure scoring games this season
• She scored a career-high 21 points against Slippery Rock (Jan. 9)
• Smith notched her first career double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds in the win over Cal (Dec. 16)
• She is tied for first in the PSAC and 33rd in Division II with 1.9 blocks per game (34 total)
• Smith has 10 multi-block games, including a career-high five against Clarion (Jan. 16)
IUP AGAIN DISHING IT OUT AT A HIGH FREQUENCYThe Crimson Hawks are fifth in the PSAC with 16.11 assists per game, dishing out at least 21 five times. With 290 total dishes, IUP has assisted on nearly 62 percent of its total made field goals. Four players have at least 37 this season, led by Wareham's 76 and 4.2 per game. Stapleton has 47 (2.6), and Brooks and Smith each have 37 (2.1).
TOM McCONNELL REACHED 50 WINS AT IUP; TIED FOR FASTEST COACH IN SCHOOL HISTORY TO REACH MARKIUP HC
Tom McConnell won his 50th game at IUP with the 80-74 victory at Kutztown on Dec. 5. With the win, he tied Cindy Martin with the fastest coach in school history to reach the mark at 68 games. McConnell went 18-10 in 2013-14 and followed that up with a 25-4 record last season.
